Junior Dogs Winter workouts are available for Portland Youth Baseball players

Dates: January through mid April

Location: Lyman Moore Middle School & The Cages in Grey (7 Shaker Road Suite 2)

Note that age groups are determined as of 4/30/2025.

1-2 practices a week in the evenings

One of the Junior Dogs' goals is to create better baseball players. We hope to have a competitive organization but above all we prioritize character, coachability, effort, being a good teammate and pride in our Portland community. We hope to have your support in making this a priority over all else. Coaches will share their philosophy and behavioral expectations with the boys at the first practice.

Please note that signing up for Winter Baseball Training does not commit players to playing for the Travel Team. At the time of registration we will ask if your player is interested in playing for the Travel Team so we can gauge interest and there will be a separate registration process. There are no "tryouts" but players will be continuously assessed and evaluated during Winter Training for their abilities and attitude to play on the Travel Team. Depending on numbers and interest, some players may be designated as Alternates, and be called to play in games when more players are needed.
